Latin Choreographers Festival
”The Latin Choreographers Festival 2009”. Will take place July 23rd through 26th, 2009.
Our mission is to provide Latin Choreographers with the opportunity to showcase their work to an
audience that can relate to them and an audience that can potentially use their talents.
We are in search for performance ready pieces, original choreography, especially: solos, duos,
trios and possibly quartets (due to the size of the stage) in the style of contemporary ballet, and

Pieces will be performed in an intimate space, on a black box theater (23 wide x 26 deep)
Pieces should not exceed 10 minutes in duration.
Submissions are being received March 1 through April 30th, 2009 and selected applicants will be
notified by May 10Th, 2009 to be a part of performances on July 23rd, 24Th, 25Th and 26Th. With a
possible matinee performance for kids Friday 24th followed with time for questions and answers.

Choreographers will be provided with:
-Free Performance Theater space for the dates described above
- Professional Lights and Sound
-DVD of one of the performance nights

We are auditioning male (5′8″ and up) and female (5′1″ - 5′5″) classically trained dancers. Men
should have strong, clean technique and good partnering skills. Women must have advanced pointe
work and refined classical skill.
Please bring a photo and resume to the audition.
Although previous training in the Cecchetti style is not a requirement, it is the method of technique
the dancers practice. All Company members are required to take Company class.

Audition Dress Code:
Please be dressed appropriately for a ballet company audition.

Women: plain leotard, pink or light colored tights (no black tights), ballet slippers, and pointe shoes
with secured ribbons and elastics. No skirts, socks, sweat pants or bulky sweaters.

Men: tee shirt (rolled into a belt) or leotard, tights, and ballet slippers. No sweat pants, bulky
sweaters or bulky socks
